15th Anniversary Show this Sunday!
All-Star Guest List to Celebrate Gun Talk Anniversary Celebrities, gun rights leaders and friends help Tom Gresham celebrate 15 years as the only national radio talk show host specializing in firearms. This Sunday, March 28, an all-star lineup joins Tom to talk about the last 15 years, a period where the Second Amendment was confirmed as an individual right and millions of Americans were issued permits to carry guns for self protection.
The 15th anniversary show this Sunday, from 1pm-4pm, will feature stories of the early days, and a look at how the gun rights landscape has changed. Special guests include Alan Gottlieb, Ken Jorgensen, Dwight Van Brunt, David Codrea and Ted Nugent.
Alan Gottlieb founded The Second Amendment Foundation in 1974, and has been a driving force in Second Amendment court cases across the US. Tom also credits Gottlieb with the original idea for the ground-breaking radio show.
Ken Jorgenson, Director of Marketing at Ruger, has been in the business of firearms for decades. Jorgensen was the first person to agree to advertise on "Gun Talk" 15 years ago with the simple response, "If you are doing it, Tom, we're in!"
Dwight Van Brunt is not only the Vice-President of Marketing & PR at Kimber USA, but is also quite an accomplished writer. His work often appears in Sporting Classics and Safari magazines, and authored Born a Hunter: Thirty Hunting Adventures Around the World. He and Tom have hunted together in the U.S. and Africa, and Van Brunt has been a regular guest on the show from nearly the beginning.
David Codrea writes for the Gun Rights Examiner, various gun publications and also keeps the world informed via his online journal, The War on Guns – Notes from the Resistance.
Ted Nugent - American Icon, Freedom Fighter, Lifetime NRA supporter and probably the most well-known Second Amendment defender. Author of numerous books, including Ted White & Blue: The Nugent Manifesto and God, Guns and Rock 'n' Roll, Ted also has an award winning television show, Spirit of the Wild. Nugent has supported Gun Talk Radio with guest appearances for years and will talk about the changes in how gun rights are viewed these days. Tom also will be joined by Skip Joeckel, of Talk Shows USA, with a look at the initial response in the radio industry to a show called "Gun Talk," and how that has changed. This week's show also features special guest appearances by George Washington, Ben Franklin, Patrick Henry, Theodore Roosevelt and Alexis de Tocquevile. And YOU can be there, too. We want to hear your thoughts on Gun Talk radio, how and where you listen, what you have learned from it, how it may have affected you (cost you money?), and just get your "shout out" to Tom for 15 years on the air. Call and leave your short (one minute or under) message on the recorder, and it might get played on the air. Call 1-800-338-2506 (good calibers!) to leave your message.
